Terrific New eBook On How To Broil Delicious Foods

Bridal showers should be fun and relaxing for the bride, but this doesn’t mean that her bridesmaids have to stress too much. It is possible to plan an elegant and elaborate bridal shower where the hostess can enjoy herself too.

One way to do this is to simplify the bridal shower food. Rather than providing a full meal for guests, why not have a variety of Italian appetizers? They are filling, offer guests variation in food choices, and they are easy to eat, since they don’t require sitting down with a fork and knife. Paired with an assortment of wines and arranged on nice serving dishes, these Italian appetizers can make a stylish and tasty statement.

A starter dish that never fails to delight is bruschetta. Thanks to Volpi Foods, the oldest and most prestigious authentic Italian meat manufacturer in America, making bruschetta is easier – and tastier – than ever. Volpi produces Italian traditional rotola, which is thinly sliced prosciutto hand-rolled in whole milk mozzarella. Volpi’s Basil Rotola, which has fresh basil leaves rolled in the layers of mozzarella and prosciutto, is the key to a crowd-pleasing bruschetta recipe.

To make this bruschetta, first pre-heat the broiler on low. Cut one loaf of French bread into vertical slices that are about one half inch thick. Place these slices on a cookie sheet and lightly toast in the broiler. Once toasted, spread basil pesto on top of each bread slice. Cut one package of Volpi Basil Rotola into thin slices, and place one slice onto each piece of bread. If you prefer the cheese to be slightly melted, layer the pesto and rotola slices onto the bread slices before you toast them.

This modern take on the Italian traditional bruschetta recipe saves time in the kitchen and makes a savory addition to any party menu. The mozzarella and prosciutto combined with the basil, garlic and pine nuts in the pesto creates a mouth-watering and multi-faceted flavor that will have your guests coming back for more. And, what’s a bridal shower without good drinks? Serve the bruschetta with dry sparkling wine or Pinot Grigio wine.

With additional variations such as Sun Dried Tomato, Hot Salami and Hot Capocolla, Volpi Rotola can also be an Italian appetizer in itself. For a quick and delicious antipasto platter, simply arrange the rotola slices on a plate with olives and crackers.

There’s no need to hire an expensive caterer or spend hours in the kitchen preparing elaborate bridal shower food. Thrill your guests – and the bride – with simple Italian appetizers that turn bridal shower food from ordinary to extraordinary.
